The back panel (14) has a buttocks-covering portion (40) extending downward beyond a lower end of the front panel (13) and including none of elastic members extending in a body-cross direction (B) under tension. A front end portion of the crotch panel (12) is joined to the front panel (13) and a back end portion of the crotch panel (12) is joined to the buttocks-covering portion (40) so that a mass of an absorbent core in the crotch panel (12) may be supported by the front panel (13) and the buttocks-covering portion (40).
