PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupler configured to easily couple a first wire rod with a second wire rod, and pet cage using the coupler.SOLUTION: The coupler comprises: a first component 41 including a first groove 413 and a second groove 424 formed on a first surface side, and an engagement part 415 formed on a front face 41a side and a second component 42 including a through-hole 423 formed between the front face 42a and a back face 42b. The front face 41a of the first component 41 faces the back face 42b of the second component 42 and, in a state where the engagement part 415 is inserted into the through-hole 423, the second component can rotatingly operate relative to the first component 41.
