The present invention relates to a device and a method for taking out poultry from a cage the device comprising: a cage partitioned into a plurality of spatial units by a plurality of side meshes arranged at the same intervals in a horizontal direction such that the plurality of spatial units are continuously arranged in the horizontal direction and a bottom mesh layer arranged on the bottom of the cage wherein the bottom mesh layer comprises a bottom mesh convex portion and a bottom mesh hollow portion the bottom mesh convex portion forms a bottom surface of the cage as a board of the same size as a sum of bottom areas of the plurality of spatial units and is slid along the horizontal direction so as to linearly move relative to the cage and the bottom mesh hollow portion is a hole formed in the same size as a bottom area of one of the plurality of spatial units and is arranged in line with the bottom mesh convex portion so as to integrally move with the bottom mesh convex portion. Thus the present invention provides the advantage of easily emptying the cage by taking out chickens from the cage.
