The present invention relates to an antibacterial pharmaceutical composition containing a polymer compound with imidazolium and a chemical sensor for detecting bacteria, the composition having an excellent effect of inhibiting activity of Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria, Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and antibiotic resistant bacteria as well as having a capability of detecting the bacteria via colorimetric, light absorbing and fluorescent variations, thereby being expected to be effective in treating bacterial infections so being valuably used as the pharmaceutical composition for detecting or treating the bacteria.본 발명은 이미다졸리움을 가진 고분자 화합물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항균용 약학적 조성물 및 박테리아 검출용 화학센서에 관한 것으로, 비색, 흡광 및 형광 변화를 통한 박테리아의 검출 능력뿐 아니라, 그람양성세균성박테리아(Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria), 그람음성세균성박테리아(Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria) 및 항생제 내성을 가지는 박테리아(antibiotic resistant bacteria)의 활성을 억제하는 효과가 우수하므로, 이에 따른 박테리아 감염에 대한 치료가 효과적일 것으로 예상되어 박테리아의 검출 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
