<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is able to evaluate the behavioral propensity of an animal evaluated in multifaceted manner. <；P>；SOLUTION: The device 1 for evaluating the behavioral propensity includes a plurality of stages 20, detection parts 15, an analysis part 11 and a release part 11. The stages 20 are formed on a path P of an animal M to the attainment of guerdon R, in this order, and each of the stages 20 includes a stimulating part 22 which act so as to stimulate the visual sense, auditory sense or sense of smell of the animal, and a blocking part 21 for blocking the movement of the animal to the guerdon R, installed in each of the terminal parts at the payoff R side. The detection parts detect the animal at each stage 20. The analysis part 11 determines whether or not the animal M carries out previously obtained behavior, associated with the action of the stimulating part 22, based on the detected result by the detection part 15, when the stimulating part 22 acts in the stage in which the animal is present in the plurality of the stages 20.
