An endoscope is configured in such a manner that: a drive signal relay board is housed within a sealed case which comprises a case body having an inner space for housing the drive signal relay board, and which also comprises a lid body integrally mounted and affixed in a removable manner to the case body by an affixation screw and the sealed case, in which the drive signal relay board is housed, is mounted in a removable manner by two types of mounting screws to an operation section framework part, which is provided to an endoscope operation section, to thereby provide the drive signal relay board within the endoscope operation section. The operation section framework part comprises, at predetermined positions thereof, a case body-mounting female thread section and a sealed case-mounting female thread section, which allow the mounting screws to be engaged therewith. The case body is provided with: a screw thread engagement section with which the affixation screw engages a first through-hole through which one of the mounting screws passes and which is disposed so as to face the sealed case-mounting female thread section and a second through-hole through which the other mounting screw passes and which is disposed so as to face the case body-mounting female thread section.
