PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creamy hair shampoo composition excellent in usability, lathering properties, foam quantity, and detergency during hair shampooing and, good in hair conditioning effect after shampooing, excellent in storage stability, too, and mild to the skin and the hair.SOLUTION: The hair shampoo composition comprises (a) 10-35 mass% acylmethyltaurine salt type ionic surfactant represented by formula (I), (b) 40-80 mass% glycerol, (c) 0.5-10 mass% 8-20C fatty acid, (d) 0.1-5 mass% sodium citrate, (e) 0.1-5 mass% cationic polymer, and (f) 5-20 mass% water and is creamy.
