PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic wave diagnostic device and a control method thereof capable of determining whether or not a Doppler waveform is stabilized while displaying a B mode image in a large size.SOLUTION: A Doppler waveform of a part 42 of a subject where a velocity of fluid is observed is generated while a B mode image 41 of the subject is displayed. It is determined whether the Doppler waveform is stabilized or in an unstable state, and when it is in an unstable state, an envelope 43 of the Doppler waveform is displayed in red as the information indicating that it is in an unstable state. When the Doppler waveform is stabilized, the envelope 43 is displayed in green.
