PURPOSE: A method for operating a refrigerator with an inverter compressor is provided to quickly stabilize all storage compartments in the refrigerator and prevent the temperature of a compartment in the stabilized state from being lowered below the set temperature. CONSTITUTION: The inner temperatures of a plurality of storage compartments are checked and a valve is controlled so that refrigerant alternately flows to evaporators which are respectively installed in the storage compartments(S301). When a part of the storage compartments is in an overload state and the other is in a stabilized state, the inverter compressor operates in a high RPM band if the valve is open to flow refrigerant to the evaporators of the storage compartment in the overload state(S309) and in a low RPM band if the valve is open to flow refrigerant to the evaporators of the storage compartments in the stabilized state(S307).본 발명은 냉장고 운전 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 인버터 압축기의 알피엠(RPM)을 조정하여 다수의 룸의 고내 온도를 제어하도록 한 인버터 압축기를 구비한 냉장고의 운전 방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 냉장고 운전 방법은 인버터 압축기의 알피엠(RPM)을 미리 정해 놓은 고 알피엠 대역 및 상기 고 알피엠 대역보다 낮은 알피엠 대역인 미리 정해진 저 알피엠 대역 중 어느 하나로 결정하여 냉장고를 운전하는 냉장고 운전 방법에 있어서, 다수의 룸의 고내 온도를 파악하고, 냉매가 상기 다수의 룸에 각각 설치되어 있는 증발기로 번갈아 가면서 흐르도록 밸브를 제어하는 단계； 및 상기 다수의 룸의 고내 온도를 파악한 결과 상기 다수의 룸 중 일부는 과부하 상태이고 다른 일부는 안정화 상태이면, 상기 과부하 상태인 룸의 증발기로 냉매가 흐르도록 상기 밸브가 개방되어 있는 경우에는 상기 고 RPM 대역에서 동작하도록 상기 인버터 압축기를 제어하고, 상기 안정화 상태인 룸의 증발기로 냉매가 흐르도록 상기 밸브가 개방되어 있는 경우에는 상기 저 RPM 대역에서 동작하도록 상기 인버터 압축기를 제어하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진다.
