PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ablation device capable of cauterizing only a desired site surely for a cardiac tissue with a thickness.SOLUTION: The ablation device 1 to be inserted in a wall portion of the heart to cauterize a cardiac tissue includes: a long body 10 a needle-like electrode 20 mounted on the distal end side of the body 10 to expose the electroconductive electrode surface by a prescribed length D1 and a high-frequency power supply 30 connected with the electrode 20.
