<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which causes an absorbent body to surely absorb body fluid without incurring reduction in an absorbing area by improving fitness of three-dimensional gathers, and surely prevents leakage of the body fluid sideways by a blocking effect of the body fluid. <；P>；SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 has: the absorbent body 4 interposed between a transparent top sheet 3 and a back sheet 2； and the three-dimensional gathers BS and BS formed along a longitudinal direction at both side parts on a used surface side, wherein the three-dimensional gathers BS have: a side standing part 30 which stands from a side edge part of the absorbent body 4 or nearby in a standing state； and a skin abutting surface part 31 of a prescribed width continuously formed from a distal end of the side surface standing part 30 and formed almost horizontally with respect to a surface of the absorbent article 1 or tilted towards a center side.
