PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus capable of suitably controlling a tension of a belt for fixing a subject without depending on the level of performance of an operator.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus 100 provides a belt-tension varying means including a belt winding mechanism 69 that performs reeling and unreeling a belt 67, a belt driving unit 71 that drives the belt winding mechanism 69, and a belt controlling unit 53 that varies a tension of the belt corresponding to any conditions.
