The present invention is directed to a system, method and/or computer readable medium for facilitating a new medical image interpretation workflow. There is generally provided elements or the entirety of a traditional radiology workflow environment, additional peripherals in a user's workspace, one or more CAD systems, and the methods and processes to orchestrate and the transfer of information between the user and the radiology workflow to optimize the speed, efficacy and accuracy of the image interpretation task. User actions can be monitored using peripheral devices such as eye-trackers and infer information gleaned from the user (e.g., predicting user actions based on a pattern or detecting a visual search pattern which is inadequate). Furthermore, orchestration of this information in tandem with the CAD system offers an opportunity to reduce the volume of interaction required of the user to complete the image interpretation task and/or reduce the incidence of errors during the image interpretation task. Some or all of the features disclosed in the present invention can be installed at an existing radiology workflow environment without explicit integration with the existing hardware and software. Accordingly, the present invention may be a stand-alone installation or an overlay and provides the features disclosed without the traditional elements of the radiology workflow environment having been expressly adapted to accommodate the present invention.
