PURPOSE: An apparatus for exterminating birds is provided to prevent a power off accident of electric short circuit by preventing installation of a bird nest. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for exterminating birds comprises an air compressor, a power supply unit, a pulse valve, a bending pipe, and a controller. The air compressor(202) is fixed in a fixed position of an electric pole. The power supply unit(204) supplies power for operating the air compressor. The pulse valve(206) is installed in a nest installation location of the electric pole and injects high pressure air in a predetermined time. The bending pipe(210) is formed in a hollow structure and is equipped with a plurality of air nozzles(208) assembled in the outside surface thereof. The controller(222) controls the operating cycle of the pulse valve and air compressor.본 발명은 전봇대에 둥지를 트는 조류의 접근을 방지하는 동시에 조류 둥지의 설치 자체를 방지하여 조류 둥지로 인한 전기합선의 정전사고를 예방할 수 있도록 한 압축공기를 이용한 조류 퇴치 장치에 관한 것이다.이를 위해, 본 발명은 태양열 전지판을 전원으로 하는 에어 컴프레서를 이용하여 압축된 고압의 에어를 전봇대의 둥지 설치 자리에 일정한 시간 단위마다 분사시켜줌으로써, 둥지를 만들려는 조류 자체에 고압의 에어가 가해지므로 조류의 접근을 방지시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 만들려고 시도하는 둥지 자체에도 고압의 에어가 가해져서 둥지를 해체하여 제거할 수 있으므로 조류 둥지로 인한 전기합선의 정전사고를 사전에 예방하는 압축공기를 이용한 조류 퇴치 장치를 제공한다.
