PROCEDE POUR LA FABRICATION DE MATRICES COMPACTES BIOADHESIVES QUI PEUVENT ETRE UTILISEES SOIT EN TANT QUE TELLES, SOIT POUR LA LIBERATION PROLONGEE DE SUBSTANCES ACTIVES ET MATRICES COMPACTES AINSI OBTENUES
A method for the preparation of a bioadhesive compact matrix, which comprisesthe preparation of a uniform mixtureof powders comprising one alkylcellulose or one hydroxy alkylcellulose and anon- water- soluble, water- swellable cross-linkedpolycarboxylic polymer; the preparation of compressed units starting from suchpowder mixture by direct compression andfinally the heating of the compressed units thus obtained to a temperature inthe range of 80 - 250°C for a time of 1-60 minutes;the powder mixture can also comprise at least one active substance and thecompressed units thus obtained are characterized by aprolonged release, and have a release kinetics of the active substancesubstantially of zero order in an aqueous solution at pH 4-8.
