A DGAT1 inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof for use in preventing, slowing down or treating a symptom selected from recurring episodes of pancreatitis, deposition of triglycerides in the skin in the form of xanthoma rashes, hepatosplenomegaly, milky white deposits of triglycerides in the blood vessels of the posterior wall (retinal lipemia) and mild neurocognitive disorders. 4. The DGAT1 inhibitor for use according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the DGAT1 inhibitor is a compound of the structure: A-L1-BCD-L2-E, in which A represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or heterocyclyl group, L1 selected from the group consisting of: an amino group —NH—, a substituted amino group of the formula —N (CH) -, —CH — NH— or —CH — CH — NH -, - an amide group —C (O) —NH -, - sulfonamide group —S (O) —NH— or urea group —NHC (O) —NH—, B is a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic 5- or 6-membered divalent heteroaryl group, CD brane of the following cyclic structures: - C-D compatible1.
