Disclosed are a wheat fertility-related gene TaMS7 and an application method thereof, wherein same fall within the field of biotechnology. By analysing the whole genome expression profile of wheat anthers in different development stages, the wheat fertility-related gene TaMS7 is obtained, and by adjusting the expression of the gene, the fertility of the plant is regulated, so as to produce and maintain the wheat male sterility lines and to prepare hybrid seeds, wherein same has important theoretical and practical significance for establishing efficient wheat hybrid seed production techniques, and for studying the wheat male sterility mechanism and heterosis.
