PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical treatment instrument which serves as a bipolar electrocautery, the surgical treatment instrument tightly grasping a biological tissue and performing satisfactory energization on the biological tissue.SOLUTION: The surgical treatment instrument includes a gripper mechanism 19 composed of a pair of gripper pieces 19a and 19b which can be opened and closed so as to grasp the biological tissue and at least one of which is a movable part.
