PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve rendering processing capable of suppressing image quality variation attributed to the size of diagnosis object.SOLUTION: A rendering processing part 30 executes rendering processing based on a plurality of pieces of voxel data constituting volume data. The rendering processing part 30 acquires pixel values of a plurality of pixels in a screen by making brightness information acquired for each visual line from a plurality of visual lines by rendering processing into a pixel value of each pixel. Thereby, projection image data of the brightness information with the screen as a projection surface is formed. A rendering pitch determination part 40 determines a rendering pitch, which is a sampling interval of the rendering processing on each visual line.
