PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a detected mask appropriately, and output it.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a detection part for detecting a mask from an acquired image； a determination part for determining whether or not there is change in the mask detected by the detection part； and an output part for, when it is determined by the determination part that there is the change in the mask, outputting parameters of the mask detected by the detection part before it is determined that there is the change in the mask. Based on temporal change of the parameters of the mask detected by the detection part, the determination part determines whether or not there is the change in the mask. This technology can be applied to an image processing device for processing an image from an endoscope device.【課題】検出されたマスクを適切に補正して出力する。【解決手段】取得された画像からマスクを検出する検出部と、検出部により検出されたマスクに変化があったか否かを判断する判断部と、判断部によりマスクに変化があったと判断された場合、マスクに変化があったと判断されるより前に検出部により検出されたマスクのパラメータを出力する出力部とを備える。判断部は、検出部により検出されたマスクのパラメータの時間的変化に基づいて、マスクに変化があったか否かを判断する。本技術は、内視鏡装置からの画像を処理する画像処理装置に適用できる。【選択図】図１
