In one aspect, the present invention is a method for treating malignancy comprising administering an effective amount of a vaccine comprising antigen-presenting cells loaded with at least two or more agents selected from the group consisting of tumor antigens and tumor antigen derived peptides. In another embodiment, the vaccine comprises at least two or more agents selected from the group consisting of tumor antigens and tumor antigen derived peptides which target antigen-presenting cells in the patient. The vaccines can also further comprise antigen-presenting cells loaded with control antigens used to determine the patient's immune competence. The evaluation of vaccine-induced immune responses in blood provides a predictive factor for treatment efficacy.
