Disclosed is a method for producing an absorbent article, which comprises a sheet heating step (S20) in which a composite sheet (120) is heated with a heating roll (510), and a sheet stretching step (S30) in which the composite sheet (120) is stretched in the cross direction (CD) with a pair of embossing roll mechanisms (520). In the sheet heating step (S20), the composite sheet (120) is heated to a temperature that is higher than the softening point of an adhesive material but lower than the lowest softening temperature among the softening temperatures of the plurality of sheets. In the sheet stretching step (S30), a plurality of projections constituting the embossing roll mechanisms (520) are heated to a temperature higher than 40°C but lower than the softening point of the adhesive material.
