A medication kit includes a closable, hard-shell, case having a maximumexterior dimensionof less than or equal to about 15 cm when closed, a plurality of pairedcontainers and cardsdisposed within the case. Each container contains a different type ofmedication, and eachcard comprises a label identifying the type of medication or an ailmenttreated by the type ofmedication contained in the paired container. Paired cards and containers maybe provided asa refill kit for the medication kit. Each card and container may be colorcoded with a colorthat is uniquely associated with the type of medication contained in thepaired container.
