A turbo type transmission mechanism for a mowing machine includes a casing, a transmission shaft and a transmission gear set. The casing is defined therein with an oil storage space. The transmission shaft which is capable of being rotatably mounted in the casing has a portion extended into the oil storage space of the casing. The transmission gear set mounted in the oil storage space of the casing and includes a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear coaxially sleeved to the transmission shaft and meshed with the first bevel gear. The second bevel gear is utilized to drive the transmission shaft for rotation while the first bevel gear is driven by a power source. A turbo mounted on the transmission shaft is located in the oil storage space of the casing.
