The support system for vine shoots comprises pairs of arms (4, 5) attached by a pivot (6) to a support post (1). Wires (2) are passed through bores (8) in the ends of the arms, which are horizontal when the shoots are planted. When they are established, the arms are swiveled upwards so that they are close to the posts and harvesting is easier. An Independent claim is included for a rivet for use with the system.
