The present invention relates to a method and a device for measuring skin moisture content. The method includes the steps of: inputting a photographed image of the skin surface photographed by a camera； obtaining, from the photographed image, particle distribution of pixels according to gray scale values； operating the number of particles number of the pixels which fall under a range between an arbitrary gray scale value and a maximum gray scale value in the particle distribution； and operating moisture content of the skin surface using the operated number of particles. According to the present invention, the method and the device are able to easily measure the moisture content of a skin using only the image photographed by the camera. In other words, the method and the device are able to: quickly and easily measure the skin moisture content, reduce costs required for the measurement, and improve the operation speed using distribution of gray scale values obtained from the image photographed by the camera.본 발명은 피부 수분 함유량 측정방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 카메라를 이용하여 촬상된 피부 표면에 대한 촬상 영상을 입력받는 단계와, 상기 촬상 영상으로부터 그레이 스케일 값에 따른 픽셀들의 입자수 분포를 획득하는 단계와, 상기 입자수 분포 내에서 임의의 그레이 스케일 값부터 최대 그레이 스케일 값 범위에 속하는 픽셀들의 입자수를 연산하는 단계, 및 상기 연산된 입자수를 이용하여 상기 피부 표면의 수분 함유량을 연산하는 단계를 포함하는 피부 수분 함유량 측정방법을 제공한다.상기 피부 수분 함유량 측정방법 및 그 장치에 따르면, 카메라의 촬상 영상만으로 피부의 수분 함유량을 용이하게 측정할 수 있다. 즉, 본 발명은 카메라의 촬상 영상으로부터 획득한 그레이스케일 값의 분포를 활용하여 피부의 수분 함유량을 빠르고 쉽게 측정할 수 있으며 측정에 소요되는 비용을 줄이고 연산 속도를 향상시킬 수 있다.
