PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an update method of a control program which can reduce manufacturing cost and improve production efficiency by updating a control program of a feeder in accordance with the timing of a mounting machine in application, without enhancing a function of the feeder.SOLUTION: Management means of a general control device for performing general control of a production line, in a processing where a supply guide for instructing supply of a tape feeder (component) is transmitted to the mounting machine, transmits the supply guide in which firmware supplies a non-updated tape feeder to each mounting machine, when postponement time TC1, TC2 until start time T1 in which use of the tape feeder after the supply is started is longer compared with supply update time T4 which is the total of supply time T2 in which the feeder is prepared and supplied and update time T3 in which the firmware (control program) of the feeder is updated.
