The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus strain separated from kimchi and a composition including the same and, more specifically, Weissella cibaria AB160066 having antifungal and antibacterial activities and a composition including the same. The Lactobacillus strain of the present invention and a culture thereof have a broad range of activities of suppressing the growth of bacteria and fungi, including Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Candida albicans.본 발명은 김치에서 분리한 신규 유산균 균주 및 이를 포함하는 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 항진균 및 항세균활성을 갖는 와이셀라 시바리아 (Weissella cibaria) AB160066 및 이를 포함하는 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 유산균 및 이의 배양물은 바실러스 세레우스 (Bacillus cereus), 스타필로코커스 아우레우스 (Staphylococcus aureus), 대장균 (Escherichia coli), 크립토코커스 네오포만스 (Cryptococcus neoformans), 및 칸디다 알비칸스 (Candida albicans)를 포함하는 세균 및 진균에 대해 광범위한 생육 억제 활성을 갖는다.
