PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophoretic particles having a new structure, dispersion, electrophoretic display device, and electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: There are provided electrophoretic particles 31 that are dispersed into a dispersion medium to form a dispersion used for an electrophoretic display device, and include color particles 32 and surface decoration parts 33 that decorate the surface of each of the color particles 32. The surface decoration part 33 includes an adhesion group 34 that includes an aromatic ring having one or more hydroxyl groups connected thereto, and a modification group 35 that is connected to the adhesion group 34 to modify the dispersion state of the color particles 32 in the dispersion medium.
