PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion of an aqueous polymer composition having sufficient dispersibility to water, free from stickiness in application and forming a coating film having excellent coating film strength.SOLUTION: The aqueous polymer composition dispersion is a composition produced by dispersing a polymer particle having a double-layer structure composed of copolymers having different constituent monomer compositions in an aqueous solvent. The copolymer layer having a double-layer structure and constituting the polymer particle is composed of (A) a copolymer derived from 5-95 mass% monomer expressed by general formula (I) and 5-40 mass% polymerizable carboxylic acid and its salt as main constituent monomers and (B) a copolymer derived from a monomer expressed by general formula (II) as a main constituent monomer.
