The invention provides a synthetic polypeptide of Formula I’: X1-X2-X3-R-X5-X6-X7-X8-X9-X10-X11-X12-X13 I or an amide, an ester or a salt thereof, or a bioconjugate thereof, wherein X1, X2, X3, X5, X6, X7, X8, X9, X10, X11, X12 and X13 are defined herein. The polypeptides or bioconjugates thereof are agonist of the APJ receptor.
