The present invention relates to an air purifier and a method for purifying air using the same. More specifically, the method of the present invention comprises an air feeding step of feeding external air into a housing through a feeding hole by operating a ventilating fan； an air purifying step of filtering the air fed in the housing； a sterilizing step of sterilizing the purified air； a water supplying step of transferring water from a water tank to a nozzle through a connection hose by operating an air supplying unit； a purified air supplying step of discharging the air which is purified and sterilized from the sterilizing step to an outlet of the housing； and a humidifying step of spraying water at the air discharged through the outlet using the nozzle in order to humidify the air.
