Provided is a method for monomerizing an aggregate of MMP-7. MMP comprising treating the aggregate of MMP-7 with a buffer containing a low concentration of monovalent cation chloride (sodium chloride, potassium chloride, etc.) or the same buffer containing no monovalent cation chloride -7 monomerization method, MMP-7 production method incorporating the monomerization method, and MMP-7-containing (pharmaceutical) composition dissolved in the buffer solution.
