The invention relates to the field of medicine. A device for implanting markers into biological tissue comprises a needle in the form of a tube containing n markers, one end of said needle having a handle and the other end being sharp, and a plunger for movement within the needle, one end of said plunger having a handle attached thereto and the other end being designed to be capable of pushing out the markers disposed in the needle. The body of the needle handle is provided with an n-stepped slot, the steps having a length that corresponds to the size of a marker. The plunger handle has on its end face a radial protuberance which is disposed in said slot. The plunger handle is designed to allow linear movement of the plunger along the axis of the body and rotational movement relative to the axis of the body. In a method for marking biological tissue, after puncturing a biological tissue, a needle is brought to a marking site by movement into a first insertion position, the movement of the needle being stopped when said first insertion position is reached and a first marker being pushed out. The needle is then drawn back without being removed from the penetration path; the angle of insertion is altered and the needle is moved toward a next position; movement of the needle is stopped when said next position is reached, whereupon the plunger handle is first rotated and then pressure is applied thereto to allow linear movement of the plunger and the pushing out of a next marker into said next position. Use of the inventions allows more efficient insertion of markers into biological tissue.L'invention se rapport à la médecine.
