PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amphiphilic copolymer enhancing a conditioning effect by accumulating conditioning component or the like to a part high in damage degree of hair, capable of hardly making the conditioning component or the like accumulated to healthy hair low in damage degree, and capable of smooth combability to hair, and a hair cosmetic composition or the like using the amphiphilic copolymer.SOLUTION: There is provided an amphiphilic copolymer in which a first block and a second block connect at a prescribed connection part. The first block contains a repeating constitutional unit derived from a prescribed monomer (A) and a constitutional unit derived from a monomer (B).
