PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide protectors for protecting cultivation plants by surrounding around a cultivation plant and an agriculture and gardening container with a cover member, the size or shape thereof being adjusted easily, ventilation being performed properly by providing a ventilation opening in one part of the cover member freely openable and closable, and the side of the cover member being fixed at a user's desirable position so that the cover member is not readily removed from the cultivation plant and the agriculture and gardening container without user's intention.SOLUTION: A protection body 1 for a cultivation plant is composed of a cover member 2, a fastening band 3, and a fixing tool 4. The fastening band 3 consists of a locking protrusion 31, a locking cushioning material 32 for cushioning entanglement of the locking protrusions 31, and a base material 33 provided with a fixing tool insertion hole 33d for inserting the fixing tool 4, and is mounted on the side of the cover material 2.
