PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creamy or a waxy hair cosmetic having good spread with little stickiness when applied to hair, readily arranging hair, having excellent hairdressing properties, imparting a natural luster without greasiness, and having excellent hair style keeping properties with stringiness.
SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) 0.01-1.0 mass% of sodium polyacrylate and/or high-polymerization degree polyethylene glycol, (B) 0.1-20.0 mass% of a semi-solid oil of a vegetable-derived and/or a vegetable oil and fat, (C) 1.0-30.0 mass% of candelilla wax, and (D) 1.0-30.0 mass% of an oil which contains a nonvolatile oil (D1) and a volatile oil (D2) and is a liquid at normal temperature. The mass ratio of (C) to (D) is (C)/(D)=0.2-2.0. The (D2) is a 2-8Si low-boiling silicone and/or an isoparaffinic hydrocarbon having the boiling point within the range of 60-260°C. The mass ratio of (D1) to (D2) is 10.0&ge(D1/D2)&ge0.5.
