PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent lateral leakage without deterioration of wearing feeling even when an absorbent article is a thin type absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorber 4 comprises: a left and right pair of first barriers 10 which protrude to a use surface side along a substantially longitudinal direction and a left and right pair of second barriers 11 which protrude to the use surface side along a side edge of the absorber 4 on outside of the first barriers 10, in which, an embossment groove 12 along the substantially longitudinal direction is formed between a respective center between the first barrier 10 and the second barrier 11. The first barriers 10 and the second barriers 11 are formed by folding the sheet-shaped absorber in a width direction, and the second barriers 11 protrude higher than the first barriers 10 to a skin side, in which a width of the second barrier 11 is larger than a width of the first barrier 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
