The instrument has a set of tools (1, 2) comprising elongated bodies with working ends (1.1, 2.1) that is designed to be inserted into an incision formed in the eye of a patient. Each of the set of tools has handling ends (1.2, 2.2) that are designed to remain outside of the eye. A blade guide unit (3) is pivotally mounted along a circular path. The guide unit extends into the body in an insertion position, and the working end is arranged to rotate with the guide unit. A blade is mounted on the guide unit. The guide unit is in the shape of an arm having an end (3.1).
