PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device capable of suppressing power consumption in determination processing for determining whether or not there is a measurement object at a measurement position.SOLUTION: A measuring device includes: a spectral sensor including a light source for emitting a light to a measurement position, spectral means for dispersing a reflection light from an object at a measurement position or a transmission light that has transmitted the object at the measurement position according to wavelengths and light reception means that includes a plurality of pixels and receives the light dispersed by the spectral means, each of the plurality of pixels receiving a light including a predetermined wavelength; and control means for executing determination processing for controlling the spectral sensor and determining whether or not there is a measurement object at the measurement position, and measurement processing for, when it is determined that there is a measurement object at the measurement position in the determination processing, controlling the spectral sensor and measuring the measurement object.
