PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic deoxidizer which is excellent in deoxidization performance, is not detected by a metal detector, oozes nothing, has high safety and is easily manufactured at a low cost.SOLUTION: The organic deoxidizer contains an easy-to-oxidize organic substance as a main agent, water, an alkaline agent and a carrier. The alkaline agent is calcium hydroxide having 0.5-200 &mum average particle diameter (D50).
