The invention relates to a visualization and guidance system which offers supplemental medical imaging information and improves the spatial orientation during medical endoscopy procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy or bronchoscopy. According to the invention, the system comprises an electromagnetic equipment for determining the position in space, consisting of a low intensity magnetic field generator (4) which is placed next to the patient, in the proximity of the area to be investigated and a control unit (5) connected to a computer (9) provided with a specific software application, an instrument (1) coupled to the control unit (5), the instrument (1) being provided with a position electromagnetic sensor (10) and being introduced into the working channel (20) of the endoscope (7) with the position sensor (10) exactly in the working end of the endoscope (7), three adhesive markers (3a, 3b and 3c) meant to be adhered on the patients skin in the proximity of the area to be internally investigated and having the role of determining a plane and implicitly a coordinate system characteristic to the patient and three reference disks (2a, 2b and 2c) including some electromagnetic position sensors, compatible with the electromagnetic equipment for determining the position in space, which have the possibility to be fixed on the markers (3a, 3b and 3c). At the same time, the visualization and guidance system offers on a display a video or echographic image taken over from an endoscope or echoendoscope, a virtual section through the 3D model of the investigated patient, together with the position of the endoscope or echoendoscope within the patient and the 3D model of the patient over which there is overlapped a representation of the endoscope end and also the distance from the same to the target.Invenţia se referă la un sistem de vizualizare şi ghidare, care oferă informaţie imagistică medicală suplimentară şi îmbunătăţeşte orientarea spaţială în timpul procedurilor de
