A method of measuring wet friction of hair, using a system comprising: i) a friction probe, having a contact surface, said probe fitted with a weight in the range of from 10 to 500 g； ii) a means for securing the bundle of hair； and iii) a water bath； wherein the friction probe is connected to a texture analyser；, said method comprising the steps of: i) providing a bundle of hair fibres； ii) aligning the hair fibres； iii) securing the bundle of hair fibres； iv) immersing the bundle of hair fibres under water in the water bath； v) contacting the hair fibres with the contact surface of the friction probe, which is fitted with the weight； vi) moving the probe along the hair fibres； and vii) recording the friction generated under step vi)； wherein steps v) - vii) take place under water； and wherein steps vi) - vii) are repeated until a constant value is obtained, without lifting the probe from the hair.Se describe un método para medir fricción en húmedo del cabello, usando un sistema que comprende: i) una sonda de fricción, que tiene una superficie de contacto, tal sonda equipada con un peso en el intervalo desde 10 hasta 500 g； ii) un medio para asegurar el manojo de cabello； y iii) un baño de agua； en donde la sonda de fricción está conectada a un analizador de textura； tal método comprende las etapas de: i) proporcionar un manojo de fibras de cabello； ii) alinear las fibras de cabello； iii) asegurar el manojo de fibras de cabello； iv) sumergir el manojo de fibras de cabello bajo agua en el baño de agua； v) poner en contacto las fibras de cabello con la superficie de contacto de la sonda de fricción, que está equipada con el peso； vi) mover la sonda a lo largo de las fibras de cabello； y vii) registrar la fricción generada bajo la etapa vi)； en donde las etapas v) - vii) tienen lugar bajo agua； y en donde las etapas vi) - vii) se repiten hasta que se obtiene un valor constante, sin levantar la sonda del cabello.
