The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating epilepsy and a method for manufacturing the same, and more specifically, it comprises a mixture of manganese, licorice, rhubarb, bure and vinegar, and comprises heated water heated as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, unlike the conventional therapeutic agent, there is no side effect, and it is expected to be useful in preventing or treating epilepsy because it has an excellent effect of delaying the seizure potential due to epilepsy and reducing the frequency of seizure occurrence.본 발명은 뇌전증의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 망초, 감초, 대황, 부레 및 식초가 혼합되어 가열된 가열물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 종래 치료제와 달리 부작용이 없으면서도, 뇌전증으로 인한 발작 잠재기 지연 및 발작 발생 빈도 감소 효과가 우수하여, 뇌전증의 예방 또는 치료에 유용할 것으로 기대된다.
