PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-invasive device capable of automatically preventing glossoptosis of a patient during an operation.SOLUTION: An external airway control device includes: a mandible fixing member that is applied to the jaw of a person for fixing it an anterior thorax fixing member that is installed on and fixed to the anterior thorax of the person and a stretchable coupling member that couples the mandible fixing member with the anterior thorax fixing member. The external airway control device prevents the glossoptosis by raising the jaw of a person during sleep such as a patient during the operation by expansion/contraction of a stretchable coupling member. The external airway control device is non-invasive and can automatically raise the jaw without any manual operation by an anesthesist, while retaining a degree of freedom of the neck itself of the patient during the operation, thus effectively preventing the glossoptosis.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】非侵襲的であり,術中患者の舌根沈下を自動的に防止できる器具を提供する。【解決手段】ヒトの顎にあて固定するための下顎固定部材と,ヒトの前胸部に設置・固定される前胸部固定部材と,前記下顎固定部材と前胸部固定部材とを連結する伸縮性連結部材とからなり,伸縮性連結部材の伸縮により術中患者などの睡眠中のヒトの顎を上げ,舌根沈下を防止することを特徴とする体外式気道確保器具。非侵襲的であり,かつ,術中患者の首そのものの自由度は保ちつつ,麻酔科医の手によらず自動で顎を上げることが可能となるため,術中患者の呼吸を十分確保しつつ,効果的な舌根沈下の防止が可能となる。【選択図】図5
