PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-invasive device capable of automatically preventing glossoptosis of a patient during an operation.SOLUTION: An external airway control device includes: a mandible fixing member that is applied to the jaw of a person for fixing it an anterior thorax fixing member that is installed on and fixed to the anterior thorax of the person and a stretchable coupling member that couples the mandible fixing member with the anterior thorax fixing member. The external airway control device prevents the glossoptosis by raising the jaw of a person during sleep such as a patient during the operation by expansion/contraction of a stretchable coupling member.
