PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device 10 capable of an article while a cover 21 is stably put on each retainer 11, even if difference such as thermal expansion or elongation set is generated between a carrying chain 12 of a retainer conveyer 1 and a carrying chain 22 of a cover conveyer 2.SOLUTION: A layout interval P2 between the covers of the cover conveyers 2 is made to be larger than a layout interval P1 of the retainers of the retainer conveyer 1. Feeding length per unit time of the carrying chain 22 by an upstream side cover conveyer sprocket 4U and a downstream side cover conveyer sprocket 4D is made to be larger than feeding length per unit time of the carrying chain 12 by a driving sprocket 51 coupled to a driving motor 5, by the same ratio as the ratio P2/P1.
