A sensor system adapted for characterizing a region of interest within a subject while minimizing bleeding is provided. The sensor system comprises a hollow tool configured to be inserted into the subject, the hollow tool comprising an orifice positioned at an angle with respect to its horizontal axis, a probe disposed within the hollow tool and configured to transmit data from the region of interest wherein the probe protrudes from the orifice of the hollow tool to be in contact with the region of interest and processing circuitry coupled to the probe and configured to process the sensed data to characterize the region of interest.Linvention concerne un système de capteur conçu pour caractériser une région dintérêt à lintérieur dun sujet tout en réduisant au minimum le saignement. Le système de capteur comprend un outil creux conçu pour être inséré dans le sujet, loutil creux comprenant un orifice placé selon un angle par rapport à son axe horizontal, une sonde placée à lintérieur de loutil creux et conçue pour transmettre des données depuis la région dintérêt, la sonde dépassant de lorifice de loutil creux pour entrer en contact avec la région dintérêt et un circuit de traitement couplé à la sonde et conçu pour traiter les données détectées afin de caractériser la région dintérêt.
