PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement technique related to filter processing along the array direction of multiple frames.SOLUTION: A large number of fixed echoes exist in an area shallower than a deep area including a heart in an ultrasonic image. An HPF processing part 20 performs filter processing by applying a high-pass filter, where characteristics are set in accordance with a depth in a frame, to frame data of the depth. The high-pass filter can be achieved by a digital filter, for example. Characteristics of the high-pass filter are adjusted by allowing a filter setting part 22 to set a filter coefficient, etc., of the digital filter.
