A blood-glucose level management system (101) is provided that uniformly collects blood-glucose level data from blood-glucose meters of a plurality of different specifications and that can manage it in a unified way. A terminal (401) of the blood-glucose level management system (101) distinguishes a ward blood-glucose meter (103) and a personal blood-glucose meter (102) in the early stage of communication by inquiring a model name. Then, if the blood-glucose meter is the ward blood-glucose meter (103), blood-glucose level data is immediately downloaded and is uploaded to a server (104). If it is the personal blood-glucose meter (102), a patient ID or a serial number is acquired through a barcode reader (405) or an operation portion (412) and the patient ID is associated with the blood-glucose level data. The blood-glucose level management system (101) is configured as described above, and thus it is possible not only to handle the ward blood-glucose meter (103) and the personal blood-glucose meter (102) with the common system but also to uniformly manage the blood-glucose levels of all patients in a unified way.
