PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately adjust a light quantity without flicker in an electronic endoscope apparatus capturing an image by sequentially illuminating a plurality of types of illumination light with different spectra.SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope apparatus (10) includes: an illumination light generation unit (70) that generates a plurality of types of illumination light with different spectra a light source control unit (72) that sequentially switches the illumination light to be applied to an observation object area and controls the light quantity of each illumination light an imaging unit that has an imaging device (52) for imaging the observation object area to which the illumination light is applied a weighting processing unit (62) that sets weighting for use in a calculation of the light quantity adjustment on the basis of image data captured under the illumination of illumination light according to the type of the applied illumination light and the light quantity adjustment unit (64) that calculates alight quantity adjustment value by reflecting the weighting according to the type of the illumination light therein.
